Abstract:
Concrete cracking is the most common quality issue in the use of concrete, affecting the strength and appearance of concrete components. Traditional repair methods are costly and time-consuming. In recent years, China has vigorously promoted the concept of green and low-carbon, and concrete self-healing technology has gradually become a hot topic in the industry research. In order to improve the self-healing speed of concrete, this study added coagulants during the concrete curing process and compared the effects of different stimulation methods on the crystallization healing of concrete cracks. In order to improve the self-healing speed of concrete, this study added coagulants during the concrete curing process and compared the effects of different stimulation methods on the crystallization healing of concrete cracks. It was found that (1) when using Ca(OH)
2 saturated solution to cure cracks, adding 0.3% polyacrylamide solution helps with crack healing. (2) Both alum and polyacrylamide coagulants can accelerate the deposition rate of reaction products between Ca(OH)
2 solution and Na
2CO
3 solution in cracks, thereby accelerating crack healing. (3) The Ca(OH)
2 saturated solution, Na
2CO
3 saturated solution, alum saturated solution curing method had the best self-healing effect on cracks. After 7 days of curing, cracks with a width of about 0.2 mm could be completely healed. This method also has a certain self-healing effect on cracks with larger widths.
