Abstract
With the rapid development of the housing industry, the demand for concrete is increasing. High-quality natural sand as an ideal fine aggregate for concrete is increasingly short, natural sand resources in many regions have even been exhausted, machine-made sand as a new building material to replace natural sand has become an inevitable trend of sustainable development of concrete industry. Machine-made sand is mainly broken by mechanical processing of rock, pebble, mine waste rock and other raw materials. Its material characteristics are quite different from natural sand, which makes the concrete prepared by it very different from natural sand concrete in mix ratio design, performance, production and construction. In order to better understand the material properties of machine-made sand, this paper summarizes the effects of the lithology, particle composition, stone powder content, MB value and manufacturing method of machine-made sand on the performance of concrete, and analyzes the development status of machine-made sand concrete, so as to provide references for the promotion and application of machine-made sand.
