Feasibility Study of High Performance Chilled-water Storage Plant System

  • This paper through analysis found that air conditioning energy consumption accounts for a large proportion of building energy consumption, and the current energy efficiency ratio of air conditioning cold and heat source plants is not high. By comparing the chilled-water storage systems and ice-storage systems , and combining with the characteristics and current situation of the specific project examples, selected a suitable form of cold and heat source plants was chilled-water storage systems. The article provides a detailed introduction to the application of water storage technology in high-efficiency computer rooms, and systematically analyzes its operational strategy, design points, and practical application plans. Contrasted analysis on the EER and the COP of chilled-water storage systems of the specific project examples, the research findings indicate that employing chilled-water storage technology not only achieves peak shaving and valley filling of the power grid, balancing electricity supply and demand, but also significantly reduces operational costs for users, thereby delivering notable economic benefits. Through the analysis of specific project examples, the key technologies and experiences in the design and operation of chilled-water storage systems are summarized, providing important reference points for the promotion of similar projects, achieved the goals of building energy conservation, carbon peaking, and carbon neutrality is great significance.
