Abstract
Cracking of pier is one of the common diseases in bridge engineering. The paper proposes a method for strengthening bridge cantilever structure regarding to cracking problem of cantilever structure for special-shaped pier. The paper mainly analyzes the cracking phenomenon of special-shaped pier and proposes an analysis method based on the finite element reinforcement simulation. According to the results of the finite element analysis, it proposes a reinforcement construction method by increasing the reinforcing steel bars on the pier cantilever structure, pouring the top surface of cantilever structure, thickening of side-range concrete and embedding prestressed tendon. The results show that the method of reinforcing steel bars, strengthening concrete, and embedding prestressed tendon in the cracked area can effectively solve the problem of cracking of the cantilevered structure of the pier of the special-shaped bridge.
