Abstract
In this paper, through the analysis and test of overturning stability of single column pier continuous beam bridge under eccentric load, the bearing reaction force, overall stress distribution and overturning phenomenon of centripetal side and centrifugal side of single column pier continuous beam bridge under eccentric load are studied. The results show that: (1) when centrifugal overturning occurs, the stress value required to reach the critical state of single span or multi span is far less than that of centripetal overturning; (2) when centrifugal overturning occurs, the difference of bending moment required for single span to multi span overall overturning is smaller, which makes it easier for integral bridge body to overturn; when centripetal overturning occurs, the difference of bending moment required for single span to multi span overall overturning is larger When a single span bridge is overturned, there is still enough safety reserve for overall overturning; (3) when overturning occurs, the far end bearing reaction value is the largest, which needs to be paid enough attention to; for centripetal overturning, the whole span overturning support reaction is the largest; for centrifugal overturning, the single span is the largest.
