Research Progress and Development Trend of Concrete 3D Printing Technology

As the most influential and emerging manufacturing technology over the past three decades, 3D printing has made great progress in various fields due to its advantages of editable design, cost reduction, efficiency improvement and environmental protection. After introducing the background of general 3D printing technology, this paper reviews the overseas and domestic research progress and achievements of 3D printing for architecture, and then elaborates the different aspects between concrete 3D printing and traditional construction technology in which it stressed on technical details, raw material selection and quality control. While pointing out the difficulties and bottlenecks in the development of this technology, the future research direction is further prospected.
