Abstract
The performance of building curtain wall can be mainly divided into two categories: mechanical performance, which involves the safety and reliability of the curtain wall, and physical performance, which involves the applicability and energy efficiency of the curtain wall. The performance testing of curtain wall is generally carried out after the completion of engineering design and before the mass production, processing, and installation of curtain wall components. This article elaborates on the key steps for testing the air permeability performance, watertightness performance, wind load resistance performance, and inter story deformation performance of building curtain walls. At the same time, based on my own work experience, I conducted statistical analysis on the testing results of multiple curtain wall projects, and summarized the factors affecting the unqualified physical performance testing results of curtain walls, mainly involving design, material processing, installation technology, and other aspects. Finally, reasonable treatment suggestions are proposed to provide a certain reference basis for quality control during the curtain wall construction process.
