Numerical Simulation Study on Preloading under Pile Load in Embankment Engineering

  • The soft soil layer has characteristics such as high water content, high compressibility, and low bearing capacity. Therefore, before the project starts, it is necessary to reinforce the soft soil to ensure sufficient bearing capacity. As one of the methods for soft soil foundation treatment, pile loading preloading has been widely used in embankment engineering due to its advantages of simple process and significant reinforcement effect. This article takes a dam engineering project in Nansha, Guangzhou as an example, uses finite element software to establish a calculation model, and compares the numerical simulation results with the engineering measurement results. The results show that the trend of change between the two data is consistent, and the fitting degree is high. The results of this study can provide reference for similar projects in the future.
