Analysis of the Impact of Spoil Piles on New Bridge Piles and Safety Protection

Abstract
In the highway reconstruction and expansion projects, the original highway generated slag body on the new bridge project can not be ignored. Once the slag body is not properly handled, it will be a great threat to the operation of the new highway, as well as the safety of the surrounding environment and personnel. This paper is based on a South China Expressway reconstruction and expansion project, with the help of finite difference software FLAC3D to establish the model of spoil pile, bridge pile and anti-slip pile, and calculate and analyse the impact of spoil body on bridge pile. The calculation results show that the displacement of the pile top is increasing under the vertical load, and the maximum bending moment of the pile body increases firstly and then decreases. The bridge pile displacement and bending moment are significantly increased in the storm condition compared with the normal condition. In addition, we studied the hazard prevention and control technical measures of slag disposal body, analysed and compared the impact of different locations of anti-slip piles on bridge piles on the secondary slope, and determined that the best location of anti-slip piles is in the middle of the secondary slope.
