Abstract
Through the construction optimization research based on the foundation pit and its attached ring road project in the E1 core area of Wuchang Binjiang, this study conducted a simulation analysis using numerical simulation method for three different excavation schemes of the foundation pit soil and three different construction sequences of the foundation pit and the ring road. The results showed that among the three excavation schemes of layered excavation, island excavation, and basin excavation, the basin excavation scheme had the best effect in controlling the deformation of the retaining structure and the impact on the surrounding environment. As for the construction sequence of the foundation pit and the ring road, the alternating construction scheme between the foundation pit and the ring road had the best effect in reducing surface settlement and retaining structure deformation. Under the three construction sequences, the soil between the two pits showed a pattern of sinking first and then rising due to the influence of the first excavated foundation pit causing the soil to sink, and the displacement of the bottom of the pit excavated later was much smaller than that of the first excavated pit. It is recommended to adopt the alternating construction sequence of the foundation pit and the ring road, which has the best effect in controlling the deformation of the retaining structure, surface settlement outside the pit and uplift of the pit bottom.
