Abstract
Due to the off-center gravity of the U-shaped sheet pile's irregular cross-section, traditional lifting gear results in uneven force distribution across multiple points, leading to slow positioning, low mechanical intervention rates, and high risks of damage and overturning. To address these bottlenecks, there is an urgent need to develop specialized lifting equipment that is efficient, safe, and minimizes damage. This study aims to design a new specialized lifting tool to enhance its efficiency and safety in handling U-shaped sheet piles. By comprehensively employing observation methods, literature analysis, and case studies, the existing lifting process of U-shaped sheet piles was thoroughly analyzed and researched. The findings indicate that the new lifting tool features easy disassembly, effectively reducing pile alignment adjustment time by 50% and improving the lifting efficiency of U-shaped sheet piles. Additionally, the integrated rubber pads in the tool provide effective shock absorption, reducing pile damage by 66.5%. Real-time verticality monitoring via sensors enables timely adjustments and corrections, improving lifting precision by 14.33%.The newly designed specialized lifting tool and its supporting devices significantly enhance the mechanization level, precision, and safety of U-shaped sheet pile lifting, effectively resolving pain points in traditional lifting processes. This research demonstrates strong application potential and value for widespread adoption.
