A Brief Introduction Of Research Status Of Pervious Concrete Properties

  • With the advancement of urbanization, concrete, asphalt and other non-permeable substances have completely covered the surface of the city, resulting in urban heat island effect, insufficient groundwater recharge, vehicle noise pollution and other phenomena. Pervious concrete is an environmentally friendly and sustainable pavement material. Due to its special internal structure, it has environmental advantages such as controlling stormwater runoff, improving water quality, replenishing groundwater, reducing road tire noise, regulating road temperature and humidity, and alleviating urban heat island effect. However, the mechanical properties of pervious concrete are generally lower than those of ordinary concrete, which restricts its application in practical engineering. In this paper, the relevant researches on the compressive and pervious properties of pervious concrete in recent years are briefly reviewed. The influences of water-cement ratio, various mineral admixtures and fibers on pervious concrete properties are analyzed respectively, which is of great significance for further research and application of pervious concrete.
