Closed Modification of Protection and Reinforcement Design for an Open and Old Factory Building in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area

Based on a real engineering, a closed modification reinforcement design is introduced for an open monolayer industrial factory building whose original data is missed. Advice is presented that the data of the upside structures can be obtained by detailed identifications and the ground and foundation data can be obtained by drilling, excavating and testing in-situ.A sheet wind self-resisting cantilever frame is recommended as the enclosure wall for reducing the influence to the main structure.The overturning stability should be evaluated for the pillar foundation.A reinforcing method of compression stability is proposed for reference, which can apparently reduce welding.
