Research of Foundation Reinforcement & Conservation Construction Technology for Ancient Chinese Bridge—Guangji Bridge

  • To protect the key national heritage conservation units Guangji Bridge, researchers thickening protective layer around the base to reinforce the foundation.Firstly, sacked concrete is using to filling the piers’hollowed out section after dredging the river bed.Secondly, laying prefabricated concretes and connecting them in series through shackles after leveling the foundation bed with crushed stones.Last bud not least, throw and fill a layer of graded stones, lay a grid on top, and throw and fill thick block stones.By compacting each other and reinforcing layer by layer to improving the stability of bridge pier foundation.The composite reinforcement method shows a good performance on the repair & reinforcement construction of ancient bridges, which has reference significance.
