Abstract
To improve the mechanical property of rubberized concrete for highway, this paper adopted the method of mixing glass/steel fibers to strengthen its compressive performance. The influence of different glass fiber and steel fiber contents on the compressive performance of rubberized concrete for highway was explored. The failure evolution process of glass/steel fiber reinforced rubberized concrete was analyzed. The influence mechanism of mixed glass/steel fibers on the compressive strength, peak strain, elastic modulus, Poisson's ratio, and compressive toughness of rubberized concrete was revealed. It is found that glass fiber can control the formation of micro cracks in rubberized concrete, while steel fiber can control the development of macro cracks in rubberized concrete. The glass fiber and steel fiber can complement each other, and greatly improve the compressive strength, peak strain, and compressive toughness of rubberized concrete.
