Abstract
Due to the long service life of the old residential district, its structure and material strength inevitably undergo, resulting in the reduction of the seismic performance of the old structure, which adversely affects the safety of the residents lives and properties. In order to address this problem, the seismic strengthening measures of common structural forms of old residential districts, including masonry structure, frame structure, frame-shear wall structure, etc., are studied, and combined with the renovation project in Guangzhou as an example, the role and effect of different strengthening methods on the seismic performance of old structures with different structural forms are analyzed in depth, so as to provide a basis for promoting the renovation of old residential districts in China and to provide a reference for the improvement of the quality of old residential districts in the country.
