Research on the Value Problems of Detection and Calculation of the Existing Rowlock Wall Structure

  • The rowlock wall structure was widely used before the 1990s, and the design code was cancelled in 2001, which caused no basis for the detection and identification of the existing owlock wall structures.In order to solve the value problems of detection and calculation of the existing rowlock wall structure, based on the research of scholars , the detection method of rowlock wall was summarized. Based on the mechanical properties analysis and the theoretical formula deduction, the reasonable suggestions of the computational model of the safety evaluation and seismic performance evaluation were proposed. The results indicate that the compressive strength of the rowlock wall should be derived by the compressive strength detection of s brick and mortar, with the consideration of strength assurance rate. The rowlock wall should be modeled with the different models: the gross section model should be used to the safety evaluation and the net section model should be used to the seismic performance evaluation.
