Rapid Generation Method and Application of Subway Entrances and Exits Based on Revit

  • The structural forms of subway station entrances/exits are complex and diverse with variable cross-sections. Traditional manual Revit modeling requires repeated sectioning, lofting, and rebar arrangement, which is inefficient and prone to errors, constraining the deep application of BIM technology in subway engineering. To address this situation, this study takes the structural construction drawings of a subway entrance/exit as an example, relies on Revit API and C# programming language for secondary development, constructs a three-step algorithm of "parameter-driven, rule-matching, and instance-generation," and proposes a rapid generation method for subway entrances/exits based on Revit. Using the picked baseline and window parameters based on this algorithm, the method achieves: automatic generation of solid models for detailed structures including bottom/top slabs with or without support plates, side walls, sump pits, and haunched slabs; automatic arrangement and anchorage treatment of longitudinal bars, horizontal bars, and plum-blossom shaped tie bars for irregular slabs, inclined slabs, and sump pit slabs based on solid models and parameters; extension to rebar quantity surveying for subway entrances/exits with a total rebar weight of 35,750.88 kg, achieving BIM data transfer; and design of a custom Ribbon panel for subway entrances/exits enabling automatic generation through buttons. Finally, the feasibility of the algorithm was verified through engineering examples. This method significantly improves Revit modeling efficiency for subway entrance/exit projects, provides a new technical path for BIM technology application in subway engineering, and offers reference for promoting the development of forward design and efficiency improvement in the subway engineering field.
