Abstract
The large-span gentle pedestrian landscape bridge is arranged with TMD for vibration damping design at the design stage, but due to the structural characteristics at the design stage and after the completion of the bridge may be due to certain uncertainties, resulting in the deviation of the damping device parameters from the structure's actual self-oscillating characteristics, which leads to the damping effect of the damping device produced in accordance with the parameters at the design stage is not significant enough to dampen the structure. In this study, the human-caused vibration comfort was measured after the completion of the large-span pedestrian bridge. The vibration response of the structure was tested by locking and opening the vibration-damping device (TMD), and the vibration-damping efficiency of the damping device was compared, and the vibration-damping device was debugged on site to optimise the parameters in order to achieve optimal vibration-damping effect if the design requirements of the structural comfort could not be met. The results show that this study realises the whole process of tracking vibration control from design to use of the structure, and puts forward a simpler, more reasonable and effective method of vibration comfort measurement and vibration damping debugging for large-span pedestrian landscape bridges.
