The Application of Transparent Concrete in Museums in Lingnan Area

  • This article aims to discuss the relevant construction techniques for the application of new transparent concrete wall panels in museums in the Lingnan region. Through material experiments, the technical indicators of transparent concrete, such as transparency performance, compressive strength, and permeability resistance, are analyzed and summarized. The dry hanging installation mechanism and construction technology of transparent concrete wall panels are explored to improve the construction efficiency and effect of dry hanging transparent concrete wall panels, and reduce the interference and adverse effects of installation mechanisms on light sources. Finally, through energy-saving software such as DEST, simulation analysis, experimentation, and monitoring of the lighting effects inside and outside the museum were conducted to explore intelligent monitoring methods for lighting sources. Through a series of simulation analysis and experimental research, in order to ensure the strength of the exterior wall panels of the museum, the volume ratio of the light guide material needs to be ensured to not exceed 3%. At the same time, the fixing device of the wall panel needs to coordinate with the position of the light guide, use BIM software to model and simulate "collision", prevent overlapping interference, and ensure that the light transmittance meets the design requirements. Transparent concrete requires proper interface treatment between the light guide and the concrete, balancing the overall mechanical properties and transmittance. An increase in the number of light guide will lead to an increase in the contact interface, which will weaken the internal strength and durability of the concrete.
