Research on High Quality Welded Jointing Process of Prefabricated Tubular Piles under Complicated Field Conditions

  • Prefabricated piles are widely used in various buildings due to their advantages, including high strength, stable quality, and low cost. The high quality and efficiency of welded piles significantly impact the full bearing capacity of prefabricated piles. To address issues such as unstable quality, high labor intensity, and insufficient efficiency associated with manual welding, a prestressed pipe pile welding robot has been developed. Building upon existing research, this paper introduces a crawler-type pipe pile welding robot to enhance the current robot's mobility and applicability in complex sites. The developed robot is applied in the pipe pile project for soft ground with complex site conditions. To validate the quality of the welded jointed piles, both weld testing and pile bearing capacity testing were conducted. The results show that, The crawler version of the welding robot moves flexibly in complex site conditions, effectively saving the moving time and construction cost, and significantly improving the welding efficiency. The results of weld inspection, static load and joint force transmission test show that the robot welding joint force transmission is stable and the welding quality is high, which can meet the requirements of high-quality pipe pile welding construction.
