Research and Application of Equipment Selection for Driving Steel Sheet Piles in Deep Foundation Pits

  • In the construction of steel sheet piles, the geological conditions and surrounding environment are often not fully considered, resulting in difficulties in pile sinking and affecting the construction period. In order to improve the construction efficiency and adaptability, it is urgent to systematically sort out the applicability of different construction methods and equipment. This paper summarizes the common construction methods of steel sheet piles, and summarizes the key problems that need to be paid attention to in the selection of construction equipment. Combined with theoretical analysis and engineering practice, this paper systematically discusses the applicable conditions and characteristics of different steel sheet pile construction methods and pile sinking equipment, including the applicable conditions of typical equipment such as manipulator, vibratory hammer+crawler crane, static pressure pile driver and pile driving ship, and puts forward the core factors that need to be paid attention to in equipment selection. Finally, the feasibility of the method is verified by practical engineering cases. The research results clarify the applicability of different equipment under the conditions of geology, environment, pile length and construction period, and put forward the construction strategy of flexible combination of various driving and pulling equipment, which provides the basis for equipment selection under complex working conditions. In practical engineering, it is necessary to comprehensively consider the site geology, surrounding environment, steel sheet pile length and construction period requirements, and reasonably select pile sinking equipment and construction methods. The research results can provide reference for similar projects.
