Research on the Application of HRB500 Rebar in Super High-rise Buildings

HRB500 rebar has high yield strength and excellent mechanical properties, its application can not only reduce the use of steel bars, reduce the initial investment and overall cost of the project, but also significantly optimize the problem of steel bar concentration at the beam-column joint. Based on two super-high-rise buildings with a height exceeding 200 m in Guangzhou, divided the models into six different heights greater than 150 m, and further conducted computational analysis separately using HRB500 or HRB400 rebar. The study compared the rebar usage and cost from the economic and environmental perspectives. The use of HRB500 rebar in super-high-rise buildings can achieve relatively good economic benefits and environmental effects, providing reference for similar projects.
